Assam: Brihangam Farmer Producer Group (FPC) of Bokakhat Celebrates Rs 6 Crore Pumpkin Export Milestone

Guwahati, 22nd May: Farmers in Bokakhat are rejoicing over a remarkable achievement driven by unwavering perseverance and hard work. The Brihangam Farmer Producer Group (FPC) of Bokakhat has successfully exported pumpkins worth Rs 6 crore to various states, realizing their earlier commitment. This notable feat, initially announced three months ago, originates from the Kuruwahahi panchayat area.

In a momentous visit, Bokakhat MLA and State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora graced Jogania village to witness the dispatch of trucks laden with pumpkins bound for other states. Minister Bora, in a symbolic gesture, hoisted a red flag, commemorating this historic event and personally commending the farmers’ triumph in his home constituency.

Expressing his enthusiasm and pride, Minister Bora lauded the flourishing pumpkin produce across several panchayat areas, including Kuruwabahi, Disai, Moridhansiri, and North Mahura. This event serves as a testament to the remarkable agricultural progress and unwavering dedication of Bokakhat’s farming community.
