Assam: BSF Jawan Dies of Suicide over Family Dispute

Guwahati: A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan committed suicide as a result of a family dispute in Nagaon district of Assam on Monday morning.

According to reports, the jawan has been identified as Sanjeeb Lashka.

Reportedly, the incident occurred at Kampur where the jawan hanged himself from a fan in his room.

According to Lashkar’s relatives, he and his wife Sweety Raja Lashkar had been arguing over personal matters for a few days and as a result she had been spending a lot of time away from him at the home of her maternal family in the Jajri district.

The couple married 15 years ago and became parents to a single child.

Meanwhile, Police reached the spot and made arrangements for a post-mortem examination.

Earlier, an unidentified married woman’s body was discovered today in the Cachar district of Assam.

The woman’s spouse and in-laws are accused of abusing her for a number of months.

The deceased woman’s relatives claimed that the deceased woman was murdered by her husband and in-laws because they had been pressuring her for dowry.

The husband’s relatives attempted to make it seem like a suicide despite the fact that it was suspected to have been a premeditated murder.

The accused family was missing after the incident.
