Tripura Govt Schools to Remain Close Till April 23
Guwahati: All government-run and grant-in-aid schools in Tripura will be closed from April 18 to 23 due to the high heat wave conditions. Chief Minister Manik Saha made this announcement on Monday afternoon.
It is hard for schoolchildren to handle the heat wave in Tripura where temperatures are currently hovering above 36 degrees Celsius.
The Tripura government made this decision in light of potential negative health effects that the heat wave may have.
Meanwhile, it was advised that private educational institutions remain closed during the period.
Taking to Twitter, CM Saha said, “The heat wave across the state may cause bad impact on health of the students. In this view, the state government has decided to keep all the government-run and grant-in-aid- schools closed with effect from April 18, 2023 to April 23, 2023.”
“Besides, the private-run schools have been requested to keep their institutions closed during that period,” he added.
