Assam: Chinese Diplomats Detained at Dibrugarh Airport

Guwahati, 27th March: Three individuals holding Chinese diplomat passports were detained at Dibrugarh airport in Assam on March 27.

Presently, they are undergoing interrogation at Mohanbari airport under the supervision of the Dibrugarh district administration.

A team from the DSB branches, accompanied by a magistrate, is currently verifying their documents to ascertain whether they possess clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs of India.

According to sources, the individuals were purportedly scheduled to visit the war memorial at Margherita.

Sources further stated that they arrived at Mohanbari airport around 1.30pm today.

Official details are awaited as the investigation unfolds.
