Assam: Clash Between KLO Cadres and Police in Kokrajhar
Guwahati: As many as two cadres of the outlawed insurgent group Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) were killed in clashes with the police in Kokrajhar Assam.
According to reports, the police started significant operations at Chakraxila Hills after recieving precise information regarding the presence of KLO cadres there.
After extensive searching, the authorities found the banned group’s hideout. This led to violent clashes between the police and the outfit.
The deceased cadres have been identified as Abhijit Deka of Rowta and Nipun Roy of Bongaigaon.
Reportedly, four cadres managed to escape from the spot of the incident.
However, one of the cadre was caught by police and later taken into custody.
