Assam CM Hails PM Modi’s Policies for Bringing Peace to Hill Districts

Guwahati, 21st April: During an election rally in Bokajan, Karbi Anglong, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies and governance for ushering in peace in the hill districts of the state, marking a significant departure from decades of violence and insurgency.

CM Sarma emphasized the transformative impact of PM Modi’s leadership, highlighting the shift towards peace and stability in regions long plagued by conflict. He credited the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council for spearheading development initiatives in the area, transforming it under what he referred to as a “triple engine government.”

Expressing confidence in the BJP’s prospects in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, CM Sarma noted the increasing mistrust among the electorate towards the opposition bloc, suggesting a favorable outcome for the ruling party.

Later in the day, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is scheduled to be joined by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in an election rally in Silchar, further underscoring the BJP’s concerted efforts to consolidate support ahead of the elections.
