Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Holds Strategic Conference Ahead of Orunodoi 3.0 Launch
Guwahati, September 14, 2024 – In a significant move to ensure the seamless implementation of Orunodoi 3.0 and the National Food Security Act (NFSA), Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma convened a high-level video conference with MPs, MLAs, and Deputy Commissioners (DCs) on Saturday. The meeting, held in preparation for the official launch on September 19, 2024, in Dispur, aimed to outline strategies for the successful execution of these key welfare initiatives.
During the conference, CM Sarma emphasized the importance of ensuring that potential beneficiaries are fully aware of the programs. He directed all DCs to hold awareness meetings in each Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) before the launch to inform citizens about the benefits and application procedures of Orunodoi 3.0, a vital scheme aimed at providing financial assistance to underprivileged families.
To streamline the distribution process, the meeting resolved to use polling booths as operational units for administering Orunodoi 3.0. This approach is expected to enhance the efficiency of the rollout, ensuring that aid reaches the intended beneficiaries without delay.
The video conference marks a crucial step toward the effective deployment of Orunodoi 3.0 and NFSA, reflecting the Assam government’s commitment to ensuring that social welfare programs reach every corner of the state.
