Assam CM: Sivasagar District Bags 1st Position Under Gunotsav 2023

Guwahati: The results of Gunotsav 2023 were released by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday.

Assam CM expressed his joy on the massive improvement in educational standards and school facilities.

According to the Gunotsav 2023 results, Sivasagar, Charaideo, Golaghat and Majuli took first, second, third and fourth place, respectively. Unexpectedly, Kamrup Metro is listed as position 29.

Gunotsav’s main goal is to evaluate Assam’s educational system thoroughly taking into account factors including infrastructure, instructional methods, teacher-student ratios and student performance.

Notably, out of the 19,172 schools that took part in the Gunotsav 2023, more than 11,000 schools in Assam achieved an A+ for their performance indicating a significant improvement in the field of education after taking into account all factors.

Additionally, CM Sarma offered a financial aid of Rs 25,000 to be used for infrastructure improvements at all schools achieving an A+ mark.

As part of the evaluation process for Gunotsav, CM Sarma proposed a non-financial academic effort and pleaded with the government to provide school clothes.

Chief Minister of Assam was also considering plans to talk about how to raise the C and D grade schools to at least a B grade at the same time.
