Guwahati, 12th December: In a distressing incident, a young girl identified as Nisha Taslim, a first-year student in the Arts stream at Cotton University in Guwahati, sustained severe injuries after reportedly leaping from the second floor of the MCB administrative building on the university grounds.
Passerby’s students promptly informed university authorities about the incident, leading to immediate action. The injured student was rushed to Nemcare hospital in the city, where she is currently undergoing medical care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), as per sources.
The incident is being investigated as an apparent case of attempted suicide, given that a note reading “It was my entire fault” was recovered from her room. The exact reason behind her taking this extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
