Assam: Cylinder Blast at SBI Branch in Bongaigaon Leaves Three Injured

Guwahati, 18th September: A cylinder blast on September 18 at the Moolagaon branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Bongaigaon resulted in three individuals being injured, with one person in critical condition.

The blast injured Ratul Singh, an employee of a local gas agency, who is reported to be in critical condition. Dipali Singh and Chitta Ranjan Nath, both employees of the SBI branch, also sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical care. All three individuals have been admitted to a nearby hospital, where Ratul Singh’s condition is particularly concerning.

Following the incident, the SBI branch has temporarily suspended operations. An official notice has been issued indicating that banking services will remain on hold until further notice to ensure the safety of both employees and customers.

Local authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the blast and assess whether any safety regulations were breached. The situation is being closely monitored as authorities work to uncover the circumstances surrounding the explosion.
