Assam: Deer Injured In Hit-and-Run Accident In Kaliabor

Guwahati, 27th February: A deer suffered severe injuries after being hit by a speeding vehicle while crossing National Highway no. 37 at Kaliabor on Tuesday morning.

Sources report that the vehicle fled the scene, leaving the injured deer on the roadside.

Immediately, locals and passersby gathered at the site and alerted forest officials.

The vehicle’s details remain unknown as it hastily left the scene of the accident, which occurred in the Baruachook area.

Forest authorities promptly responded, transporting the injured deer to a veterinarian for urgent medical attention.

While the accident was not fatal, the deer’s condition is described as critical.
