Assam: Drug Peddler Arrested in Morigaon in Joint Operation

Guwahati, 18th May: In a collaborative effort between the special branch of Morigaon police and Veluguri police, a notorious drug peddler was apprehended in Datialbori, Moirabari. The suspect, identified as Motiur Rahman hailing from Datialbori village, was found in possession of a substantial quantity of narcotics, signaling a major breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking in the region.

Motiur Rahman’s arrest comes as a significant development in the ongoing efforts to combat the drug trade plaguing the area. The suspect, who has a history of involvement in drug-related activities and has previously served time in jail, was intercepted with 40 containers filled with illicit substances, along with a mobile phone and a motorcycle.
