Guwahati: One suspected peddler has been arrested by Assam Police in connection with drugs from Dibrugarh district on Friday.
Based on specific information, Town Sub Inspector (TSI) along with other police personnel and 171 Bn. of CRPF led by Superintendent of Police (Probational) Ankur Jyoti Borah (APS) arrested the drug peddler.
The peddler has been was identified as Salim Hussain alias Gudu, a resident of Dibrugarh.
Upon searching, four soap cases containing 58 grams of heroin was recovered and seized at Kalibari DTP Dyke.
Further investigation is underway.
