Assam: Drugs worth lakhs seized, 2 held including one woman
Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police arrested a woman-son duo for allegedly being involved in drugs from Morigaon district on Saturday.
The incident took place in the Moirabari town of the district.
As per the sources of MyNewsNE, following a tip off a team of Morigaon police officials launched a search operation against drugs and arrested the two accused from the Moirabari Petrol Pump of the town.
The duo has been identified as Abdul Karim and Amiron Nesa.
During the operation, the officials recovered 25 soap boxes with a total of 350 grams of heroin from their possession.
However, the estimated cost of the heroin is said to be lakhs of rupees in market value.
Legal action has been initiated by the Moirabari Police officials and further investigation is underway.
