Assam: Drugs worth over 3 crores seized, 3 held
Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police seized drugs worth around 3 crores and arrested three persons in the connection in Jagiroad.
The three arrestees were identified as Jakir Hussain, Sahidul Islam and Saddam Hussain.
Following a secret information from sources the Jagiroad Police official launched a search operation in the area and recovered an amount of total 309 grams of suspected Heroin from the accused.
The police officials further informed that the market price of the recovered Heroin around Rs 3 crores. It was further informed by the officials that the accused were came Nagaon’s Kachua to Jagirod on a two-wheeler for the peddling of the drugs.
It may be mentioned that during the investigation the police officials also seized around four mobiles from their possession.
As per the sources of My News Ne, during the investigation the police also seized two-wheeler (Pulsar) which has been used for the drug peddling. The two-wheeler is registered with the number AS-02AF-2319.
