Assam Duo develop herbal drink, 98% effective against Covid-19
Guwahati: Two persons from Assam named Pankaj Gogoi from Dhemaji and Pranjal Gam from Golaghat have developed an antiviral herbal drink that is 98% effective against SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19) by the Bhubaneswar based Institute of Life Sciences.
According to reports, Gogoi told ‘The Hindu “We got our drink examined at the Institute of Life Sciences, an autonomous institute of the Central government’s Department of Biotechnology.” ‘ The drink is 98 percent effective as an anti-viral against COVID-19, according to their report from August 25 of last year (2021).
The drink is made up of many plants that have traditionally been used as herbal medicine by people in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
The cytotoxicity level of the herbal drink demonstrates that it is highly effective against infected cells.
The Department of Biotechnology has instructed them to contact the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council for “pre-clinical testing, Drugs Controller General of India clearances, marketing permissions, and other instructions.”
