Guwahati, 20th February: In a shocking incident, a mother-son duo was found dead under mysterious conditions in their residence in Assam’s Nalbari.
The victims have been identified as Kavita Halai and her son Hrishikesh Kashyap, aged 15, who was specially abled.
As per sources, the horrific incident occurred on Hrishikesh’s birthday which was yesterday (February 19).
Upon recovering the lifeless bodies of Kavita and Hrishikesh in their bedroom, relatives immediately informed the authorities.
An initial investigation reveals that the husband, Jagdish Haloi, allegedly administered poison to his wife and son before fleeing the scene.
As the accused remains at absconding, police officials have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.
Upon receiving information, police officials reached the spot and recovered the bodies and sent it for postmortem.
It needs to be mentioned that a case has been registered and an investigation is currently underway.
