Guwahati, 14th March: In yet another horrific incident, a 4-year-old son was allegedly killed by his own father in Tinsukia district of Assam on March 14.
The brutal murder took place in Hollong Guri village near Phillobari under Margherita subdivision.
The four-year-old son has been identified as Manjit Praja.
As per sources, the accused identified as Sambhu Praja allegedly stabbed his son to death with a sharp machete and injured his wife named Salmi Praja during the clash.
Sources informed that the wife sustained critical injuries and has been immediately shifted to Digboi Civil Hospital for medical attention. Due to her severe injuries, Salmi Praja has been transferred to Assam Medical College in Dibrugarh for better medical treatment.
Upon receiving information about the horrific incident, police officials immediately arrived at the spot and arrested Sambhu without any delay.
The reason behind the brutal murder is yet to be ascertained.
