Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a 70-years-old woman was killed and many others were severely injured in a suspected fire-raising attack that took place in Sorbhog under Barpeta district of Assam.
According to the report, the fire was set off following a family dispute between two parties.
A group of 50 men reportedly set the house on fire, where the victims stay in, report stated.
The deceased woman has been identified as Aasibur Nessar.
Seven others including a child were also injured in the fire. The children were admitted to a nearby hospital with serious burn injuries.
Moreover, Barpeta police reached the spot and start an investigation into the case.
