Assam flood: Karan Johar Contributes Rs 11 Lakhs to CM relief fund

Guwahati: Bollywood Filmmaker Karan Johar and Dharma Productions have donated ₹ 11 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to help people reeling under the devastating floods in Assam.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked the Karan Johar for the gesture.

Sarma also acknowledge director Rohit Shetty for his initiative of getting the entire Indian film industry together for the cause of Assam Floods.

Earlier, Bollywood actor and director Aamir Khan had contributed Rs 25 lakhs, business tycoon Mukesh Ambani had contributed Rs 25 crores, Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, director Rohit Shetty and singer Sonu Nigam had contributed Rs 5 lakhs each to the CM relief fund. On the other hand, music producer Bhushan Kumar also donated Rs 11 lakhs for the flood-affected people of Assam.
