Guwahati, 21th December: The Assam Forest Department conducted a significant anti-smuggling operation, seizing 500 Channa Barca fish at Dibrugarh Airport. Valued at ₹4.5 crore in the international market, this marks one of the largest exotic fish seizures in recent history.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted the success of the operation in a social media post, emphasizing the significance of preventing the illegal trafficking of these rare fish species.
