Guwahati: A government official has been arrested by sleuths of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption cell while allegedly accepting bribes at Mangaldoi in Darrang district of Assam on Tuesday.
The accused official identified as Hemanta Kumar Talukdar.
According to reports, Talukdar was caught red-handed by the Vigilance team while allegedly accepting bribe.
Reportedly, Talukdar in an officer at Mangaldoi’s district industries centre.
It may be mentioned that he demanded a commission instead of official work to be hastened.
