Guwahati, 23rd March: In a spine-chilling incident, a man has allegedly killed his wife by slitting her throat in Dhubri of Assam on March 23.
The horrific incident occurred in Ward No 9 of Hakama village under Bilasipara subdivision.
The accused has been identified as Surajit Rai.
Locals suspect that Rai allegedly killed his wife- Mandira Nath due to a family feud.
However, after committing the horrific crime, Rai surrendered himself at the local police station.
Following the horrifying incident, Bilasipara police along with a magistrate immediately reached the crime scene and recovered the body of the deceased for post-mortem.
The shocking murder has sparked massive outrage in the area, with residents grappling with disbelief and horror at the brutality of the crime.
It needs to mention that an investigation into the matter is underway.
