Assam: Illegal Saw Mill Busted in Dibrugarh

Guwahati: The forest department officials raided an illegal bench mill in Dibrugarh district of Assam on Monday.

The raid took place in the Mohanbari village of the district.

According to reports, a modern machine used for cutting timber as well as a large quantity of timber were seized during the raid.

Meanwhile, the forest department officials have launched a large operation to stop illegal timber mills from operating in Dibrugarh.

Reportedly, officials said that after receiving confidential information about the illegal bench mill operating in the area, a team from the Dibrugarh Forest range office launched a search and busted the illegal bench mill.

It may be mentioned that the mill was raided and a large amount of wood, as well as the machine was seized.
