Assam: Increased Security at Guwahati Railway Station Ahead of Independence Day

Guwahati, 11th August: Ahead of Independence Day, security at Guwahati Railway Station has been heightened. On August 11, personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police, supported by a dog squad, conducted thorough patrolling.

Sub-Inspector Md AB Khan of the RPF stated that security measures have been intensified to prevent any potential incidents. All railway tracks, trains, luggage, and entry/exit gates are being scrutinized round-the-clock.

“We are on alert mode to ensure safety during the Independence Day celebrations,” Khan said, emphasizing the continuous monitoring of critical areas. Strict security arrangements are in place, with personnel stationed at key locations throughout the day and night.
