Guwahati: An adult leopard was successfully imprisoned at Derkuria in the Jorhat district of Assam on Friday after a prolonged struggle.
According to reports, the leopard had been reigning terror in the Puroni Mati area at Derkuria since a long time.
After a protracted fight, the leopard was eventually captured by forest officials who had arrived after learning about the agitated cat.
The leopard was eventually captured this morning after the forest officer set a trap two days earlier.
Before being released into the wild, the leopard is being kept at the regional forest department in Jorhat.
