Assam: Major Blaze Engulfs House in Morigaon Town; Cause Under Investigation

Guwahati, 7th August: A significant fire broke out in Ward No. 2 of Morigaon town late on August 6, destroying a rented accommodation belonging to Montu Das. The blaze reportedly began after a gas cylinder exploded, quickly spreading and consuming a motorcycle before reducing the house to ruins.

The fire erupted in a densely populated residential area, but residents were able to evacuate in time, preventing major casualties. Fire tenders responded promptly, managing to contain the flames and halt further spread. However, their efforts came too late to save the house, which was entirely destroyed.

Authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
