Guwahati: At least three homes were destroyed by a massive fire that erupted in a residential area at Chapar in Dhubri district of Assam.
According to reports, number of livestock perished as a result of the extraordinary fire.
It is suspected that fire broke due to a short circuit in one of the houses.
The incident was reported in the Chapar area of New Hatipota .
Reportedly, the fire destroyed goods worth thousands of rupees.
Following the event, a number of fire tenders arrived on the scene and were successful in putting out the massive fire.
