Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police seized a huge quantity of Heroin and arrested one suspected drug peddler in Golaghat district of Assam on Wednesday.
A team from the Mariani Police Station intercepted a car bearing registration no AS04-K0610 and recovered 478 grams of suspected Heroin and arrested one person in the connection.
The arrestee has been identified as Ajit Uran, a resident of Uriamghat in Golaghat.
He was arrested from the Heeleakah Tea Estate in Titabor town of Jorhat district.
It needs to mentioned that a legal action has been initiated into the matter and further investigation is underway.
