Assam: Minister Pijush Hazarika Accuses Congress, Asserts BJP’s Dominance in Elections

Guwahati, 20th April: During a rally in Mikirbheta, Dhing in Morigaon, Minister Pijush Hazarika launched a scathing attack on the Congress, holding them responsible for the death of innocent people due to a lack of doctors in Assam. He asserted that the BJP has secured victory in all five constituencies – Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Kaziranga, Sonitpur, and Lakhimpur – where the first phase of elections took place.

Critiquing sitting MP Pradyut Bordoloi for his absence in the area during his term, Hazarika highlighted the stark contrast in medical college development between the Congress and BJP regimes. He noted that while the Congress built only six medical colleges in 60 years, the BJP established 18 in less than eight years. Hazarika emphasized that the dearth of doctors in rural areas falls squarely on the shoulders of the Congress.

Furthermore, Hazarika criticized the Congress for the lack of universities, claiming that only seven were built during their rule, hindering the education of the underprivileged.

Asserting the people’s support for Narendra Modi and Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hazarika stated that Assam will never vote for the Congress. He also accused the Congress of corruption in housing construction, highlighting the BJP’s approach of empowering households in this regard.

During another rally in Besamari, Dhing, Nagaon, Hazarika expressed confidence in BJP candidate Suresh Bora’s victory in the Nagaon Lok Sabha seat election. He criticized the AIUDF for failing to provide basic amenities and urged voters to choose BJP for development and progress.

Additionally, Hazarika outlined various government schemes, promising life and accident insurance for families with ration cards, with the premiums borne by the government. He underscored BJP’s commitment to addressing unemployment and providing essential amenities to all citizens.
