Guwahati: Assam Police has arrested a wanted person who was accused of being involved in many crimes including murder, human trafficking, arms smuggling. The accused was arrested in Moirabari of Morigaon district. The police had also recovered a huge cache of expired medicines from his house has well.
The person identified as Munir Uddin was accused of being involved in murder, drug peddling, and also gun-running. He was arrested based on specific inputs present with the police. The police stated that he was absconding and finally based on certain inputs, he was arrested by the police.
The police said that after him being arrested, they found a huge haul of expired medicines stocked in his house but one particular carton of medicines had medicine bottles with labels of being manufactured in December 2021 which seemed to be suspicious. The police said that the entire haul was seized and further investigation of the matter was initiated.
