Guwahati: A woman along with her 8-year-old daughter allegedly attempted suicide in the Jorhat district of Assam on Sunday.
The incident took place in the Nimati Ghat of the district.
According to reports, the locals went to save them when they heard of the incident.
However, they could only save the mother but the daughter is still missing.
It is alleged that the reason behind the woman’s attempted suicide is a family feud, reports claimed.
The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
