Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a prisoner died under suspicious circumstances at Hamren jail on Wednesday.
The incident took place in West Karbi Anglong district of Assam.
The deceased has been identified as Dipendra Phangsu.
The body was sent to Hamren Civil Hospital for post mortem.
The situation has created a stir in the area.
So far, the reason behind the death of the prisoner is yet to be ascertained.
