Assam: Nalbari Murder Case, 1 more held

Guwahati: In a major development, Nalbari Police have arrested another person in connection with the sensational murder of Tulukon Baishya who was a resident of Balilesha village of the Nalbari district.

In search operation carried out by the Nalbari Police on late Tuesday night, a person identified as Mridul Kalita was arrested.

Earlier two persons were arrested in connection to the murder.

Tulukon Baishya aged around 27-year-old was murdered on February 16.

Baishya’s family members had filed a missing complaint at the Nalbari police station. After a thorough investigation and search operations, two persons identified as Sanjay Deka and Sachin Baishya were arrested by the police.

The two accused had admitted to being involved in Baishya’s death. The victim was killed near the Pagladiya River’s banks and buried beneath the sand.

The investigation into the crime is still ongoing, as the police assume that there are more people engaged in the murder.

It needs to be mentioned that Baishya worked as a tractor driver.
