Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police seized suspected heroin and arrested one woman in the connection.
The arrestee has been identified as Reshma Begam.
Working on a tip off from sources the Nagaon Police officials launched an operation at Reshma’s residence in Christianpatti area of Nagaon and recovered around 12 grams of suspected heroin along with 180 empty vials from her possession.
The police officials further recovered total Rs 23000 cash from her.
It may be mentioned that Reshma had been running the drug business in Nagaon for a long time.
It is to be noted that Police have arrested several others in this connection but have not disclosed their names.
