Assam: Palasbari Police Station OC Sent to Reserves Amid Allegations
Guwahati, 15th September: The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Palasbari Police Station in the Kamrup district of Assam has been sent to reserves following serious allegations against him.
According to preliminary reports, OC Rajib Nath is accused of employing underage workers at the police station premises. An NGO working for child welfare lodged a complaint against him, alleging that a minor girl was forced into manual labor and made to stay at the police station’s quarters.
The allegations have raised concerns and questions about the conduct and practices within the Assam Police force, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability.
