Guwahati: At Rangia in the Kamrup district on Tuesday, Assam police arrested two accused snatchers.
A team from the Kamrup district police, along with the officers in charge of the Kamalpur, Rangia, and Koya police stations, carried out a search operation based on particular inputs. During the raid, the two snatchers were apprehended and recovered weapons from their possession.
Atiqur Islam and Tajmul Ali are the named suspects who were taken into custody.
Additionally, the police found a 0.22 mm pistol with nine rounds of ammo and a 0.32 mm pistol with seven rounds of ammunition.
However, legal action has been taken, according to the police, and more investigation into the incident is ongoing.
