Assam: Police Search For Body Of Missing Victim

Guwahati: Bajali Police of Assam carried out excavated in search of the body of a person who has been missing and is believed to have been killed, officials informed on Sunday.

According to reports, Bajali Police used an excavator last night to search for Tajir Ali’s body who they believe to have been killed and buried.

The incident has been reported out of Nityananda Anandapur in the Bajali district of Assam.  Tajir Ali, who has been reported as missing for a few days who had reportedly gone out for fishing at a nearby lake.

Later, the police started looking for his body nearby as the victim had goner fishing at Anandapur Kapilimara lake on the particular day.

The police detained one person while conducting their inquiries into the incident on the grounds on suspension of Tajir Ali’s death. The suspect in this regard was identified by the officials as Bhupen Bora.

Authorities claimed that on the day of the incident at the lake, the suspect had gone fishing with the victim. Although search efforts are ongoing, nothing has turned up to this far.

Additionally, since the occurrence tensions in the area have risen as residents want justice for the victims.

Reportedly, enraged locals of Anandapur today came out to gherao Patacharkuchi Police Station to put pressure on the officers to take appropriate action.
