Guwahati: In an unfortunate incident, a girl of Assam’s Kamrup rural district died in a road accident in Bengaluru.
The deceased has been identified as Poonam Das was a resident of Rangia in Kamrup rural district and she was a student in that state.
As per available information, Poonam died on the spot after she was allegedly hit by a speeding vehicle on Thursday.
According to reports, she was pursuing her B. Tech at the Sri Krishna Institute of Technology (SKIT) in Bengaluru.
The news gradually spread and reached her native village casting a pall of gloom over the area.
Poonam’s body will arrive at her native place in Rangia by flight this evening.
