Assam To Hoist 80 Lakh Tricolours From Aug 13-15 in 75th Independence Day
Guwahati: Homes, workplaces, and other business buildings throughout Assam will fly almost 80 lakh flags, together with the rest of the nation from August 13 to August 15, 2022.
According to a formal announcement, this would be done as a part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Program which is being carried out by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, under the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Independence.
With the public’s help, 20 crore tricolours will be raised across the nation as part of this campaign.
The goal in Assam is to reach 80 lakh rural and urban families, as well as public and private organisations, businesses, and educational institutions.
The purpose of the campaign is to instil a sense of patriotism in the public and raise awareness of our national flag.
Together with the Panchayat and Rural Development, Information & Public Relations Department, and other government departments, the Cultural Affairs Department in Assam has begun making preparations for the program’s successful execution.
As a result, the Panchayat and Rural Development Department has started producing national flags locally through Self-Help Groups in a variety of sizes.
Furthermore, the agency will erect booths at the district and village levels so that people can buy national flags in stores close to them.
