Assam: Wishes pour in as CM Sarma turns 53
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma celebrates his 53rd birthday on Tuesday.
On his 53rd birthday, the Chief Minister receives heartfelt birthday greetings from fans, admirers, and well-wishers from all throughout the state and country.
A large number of CM Sarma’s admirers and followers made the day extra special for him by meeting at his residence around 12:00 a.m. to wish him.
The chief minister celebrated his birthday at night after a cake cutting ceremony at his residence, when he and his admirers and followers cut the birthday cake together.
The CM was spotted taking pictures with his nephew and fans who had come at his home. He took a mouthful of cake and said that he has diabetes and can’t eat much.
Addressing to media, the Chief Minister expressed his satisfaction and asked for everyone’s blessings.
He described himself as “fortunate” to have such a vast fan base.
The Chief Minister further stated that the blessings and love bestowed upon him by the people of Assam had inspired him throughout his life.
He also mentioned that various programmes are planned for today and tomorrow because he will be visiting Majuli to spend time with his 48 nephews who live there.
However, on the Chief Minister’s birthday, people from all around the state rushed to social media to wish him well and express their love.
It may be noted that The Jalukbarai constituency which he represents has been lit up with many lights and lovely decorations to commemorate Assam Chief Minister’s 53rd birthday.
