Assam: Woman advocate stabbed to death in Barpeta
Guwahati: A woman advocate was stabbed to death by three motorcycle-borne assailants Barpeta district of Assam on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Rinima Begum who is a resident of Banbariya village, which is around 8 km from Barpeta town.
The incident took place when Rinima visited her elder sister’s house at Azad Nagar in Barpeta town.
According to reports, Rinima and her sister went to a doctor at a clinic in Barpeta town since her elder sister has been sick for a few weeks.
Rinima was about to get into her car when she was accosted by three bike-riding miscreants with a sharp blade.
She was immediately rushed to Barpeta Medical College Hospital in a critical condition, where the doctors declared her brought dead.
However, the cause of the murder is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, the miscreants managed to flee the spot after committing the crime.
