Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a woman was charred to death after her house burnt in a massive fire in Dabaka of Assam.
The deceased woman has been identified as Xorumai Bora.
According to reports, Xorumai was burnt alive as the fire broke out at their house when she was sleeping.
The incident was reported from Bhelowguri in Dabaka on late Thursday night.
Reportedly, the woman and the entire house were reduced to ashes by the raging flames in just a few minutes.
Meanwhile, the police reached the spot and inspected the incident spot on Friday morning.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
On the other hand, the woman’s son left the house prior to the incident on Thursday.
