Guwahati: A woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant in the Goalpara district of Assam on Friday.
The woman identified as Tilottoma Ray was aged around 70.
The incident took place at Korkuchi, Dohela under Dudhnoi Police Station at around 7 AM this morning.
According to reports, the dead body has been taken by the police for post mortem and further investigation into the matter is underway.
