Guwahati, 15th July: A woman’s body was recovered in the Difloo River on Saturday at Kaibarta Gaon in Bokakhat of Assam.
The deceased woman has been identified as Malati Ghatwal.
As per reports, Ghatwal swept away in the Difloo River on July 13 and has been missing since then.
Locals spotted Malati’s body floating in the river after it was hooked by a fishing pole that had been set up for fish.
The police were immediately informed about the matter after which they rushed to the spot.
The legal authorities are seeking to compile any leads or information that can provide insight into the circumstances leading up to the tragic incident.
