Guwahati: In a tragic incident, youth hailing from Assam was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a hotel bathroom in Delhi.
The deceased identified as Prashanta Deb alias Guddu, a resident of Tinsukia.
As per reports, Guddu was found dead at Vaishnaw Hotel in Chandni Chowk.
Prashanta informed his family that he would be coming home on November 6.
Reportedly, when his father visited Vishal at home on November 6, his sister told him that his body had been found in the hotel, but when the father pressed her for more details, she withheld them.
When they heard the news, they rushed to the Tinsukia Police Station to confirm it. The police then got in touch with Delhi Police, who confirmed that Prashanta’s body had been found in the hotel bathroom.
In connection with their son’s death, they filed a FIR at the Lahori Gate Police Station.
According to the FIR, the parents of the deceased stated that they were staying at the hotel with a girl named Sweeti Pual.
When contacted, Sweeti said to his parents that she was staying with them and that she was in love with him. She also informed them about his death.
She then turned off her phone, prompting his relatives to claim that she may be a suspect in the case.
Meanwhile, they are unable to reach Vishal, his other friend with whom he was staying.
Although both of them have returned to Tinsukia, both are currently on run.
