Guwahati: A youth killed in a road accident in Balagaon area of Rangiya in Assam on Monday.
The youth’s bike went off the road and slammed into a tree along the side of the road, causing him to fall into a pond. It is believed that the adolescent perished on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Jayanta Kalita and he was a resident of Nalbari. He was on his way from Guwahati to Nalbari.
It may be mentioned that with the help of the villagers, police arrived at the scene and recovered the deceased’s body. The deceased was taken to a hospital for post-mortem examinations.
