Assamese Producer’s Film “Kooki” Shines at Cannes, Garnering Global Acclaim
Guwahati, 22nd May: “Kooki,” a Bollywood Hindi film produced in Assam, achieved a significant milestone by being screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival (Du Film De Cannes). The screening occurred at the Palais H auditorium at 11:30 PM local time on Tuesday, drawing film enthusiasts and distributors from various countries who praised the film’s compelling narrative and execution.
Producer Dr. Junmoni Devi Khaund and actress Ritisha Khaund attended the festival, engaging in meaningful discussions with the audience. The film’s profound impact resonated globally, with countries such as France and Morocco expressing interest in releasing “Kooki” in their theaters.
Ritisha Khaund’s performance received accolades from several directors and filmmakers present at the screening, highlighting her exceptional talent.
