Australian Cricketer Xavier Doherty Turns into Carpenter post retirement

After retirement most cricketers choose jobs, many start giving their services while few start doing commentary of matches. The former Australian cricketer Xavier Doherty choose Carpentry as his profession.

Xavier Doherty 2015 World Cup Winner turns into Carpenter. He was a member of Australia’s 2015 World Cup-winning squad. The Cricketer turned carpenter choose this profession to meet his needs more than four years after he retired from competitive Cricket.

The Australian Cricketers Association (ACA) has shared a video recently where Doherty expressed his feeling that how he is enjoying being a Carpenter.

He also expressed his gratitude to the ACA for lending him a helping hand in the critical situation. Doherty played as a left-arm spinner for Australia between 2010 and 2015.

Doherty explained that he was clueless after finishing his cricketing career and did not know exactly what he was going to do though he continued doing everything and even tried every opportunity that came in his way.

“I did some landscaping, office work, cricket work and then found myself here,” he further added.
