Authorities Seized Arms Cache in Kamrup District, Two Detained

Guwahati, 23rd July: Officials made yet another significant discovery as they uncovered and seized an arms cache in Kamrup district, Assam.

According to reliable reports, local police received information about the transportation of an arms cache, prompting them to conduct a meticulous drive in Changsari town, Kamrup district.

During the operation, officials intercepted a passenger bus en route from Goreswar to Guwahati. A thorough search of the vehicle revealed the concealed arms, which were promptly confiscated.

The seized cache includes a *0.32 mm pistol, cleverly hidden under the seat of the bus driver, identified as Khushbu.

In connection with the matter, the driver and co-pilot of the bus, identified as Pradip Rajbongshi and Rubul Ali, respectively, have been apprehended by the authorities. They are expected to face charges related to illegal possession of arms.

As the investigation unfolds, more details are yet to emerge regarding the source and intended destination of the arms cache.
